Combined boiler/storage tank assembly consisting of a domestic water storage tank (1) comprising a jacket casing (2) with thermal insulation, on the top of which is arranged, oriented vertically, a boiler (4) which is also provided with a jacket casing (3) with thermal insulation, in particular an atmospheric boiler. Between the coverless jacket casing (2) of the storage tank (1) and the bottomless jacket casing (3) of the boiler (4), an intermediate bottom (5) is arranged, which is mounted on the jacket casing (2) of the storage tank (1). The intermediate bottom (5) is provided with a cavity (6) in which is accommodated the edge (7) of the wall (8) of the combustion chamber of the boiler (4), this edge projecting from the lower end plane (E) of the boiler (4). <IMAGE>
