Such a ski boot is constituted overall by a rigid shell surmounted by an upper (2) comprising opening means for the passage of the foot and an assembly for closure of the said upper over the lower leg consisting of a tightening system (7) with a cable (9), simultaneously controlling, by means of the cable (9), an inner foot-holding plate (10). The invention is characterised in that the plate (10) includes means (11), which are individual to it, for constraining the actuating cable (9) and for limiting its travel as a function of a compression, independently of the value of the tension exerted on the cable (9) on gripping. <IMAGE>
