PURPOSE:To take out and feed working oil having a pressure higher than a maximum working pressure during steering to other hydraulic system, in a total hydraulic type power steering device. CONSTITUTION:In a total hydraulic type power steering device, working oil from a hydraulic pump 1 is fed to a hydraulic cylinder 2 through a control valve 9 interlocking with operation of a handle. A circuit 13 on the surplus flow side of the control valve 9 is connected to other hydraulic system 12 through a check valve 14. A pressure reducing valve 16 is located between the hydraulic pump 1, the control valve 9, and other hydraulic system 12. The pressure reducing valve 16 feeds working oil from the hydraulic pump 1 to the control valve 9 when working oil in the hydraulic system 12 has a pressure lower than a maximum working pressure during steering. Inversely, when it is higher than the maximum working pressure, a pressure on the control valve 9 side is reduced to a maximum working pressure, and working oil in the hydraulic pump 1 is caused to flow to other hydraulic system 12 without going through the control valve 9. |
