PURPOSE: To obtain a skin treatment composition that contains aqueous and oily phases, and aβ-phosphatidyl choline derivative, has high emulsion stability and excellent ability of hydrotion, and also excels in applicability. CONSTITUTION: This skin treatment composition contains (A) aβ-phosphatidyl choline derivative of the formula (R<1> and R<2> are each pivalic acid, 3,4,5- trimethoxybenzoic acid or a 2-20C saturated, unsatiurated or polyunsaturated fatty acid of straight or branched chain), (B) aqueous phase, for example, water, a monohydric or polyhydric alcohol, and (C) oily phase, for example, a liquid or semi-solid hydrocarbon, isopropyl parmitate, such an ester as vitamin E acetate, or a wax, at rates of A=0.05-30wt.%, B=10-95wt.% and C=0.5-90wt.%, preferablyt A=0.1-15wt.%, B=15-90wt.% and C=1-85wt.%. The pH of the composition is preferably maintained at 3-8.
