The binding may receive, indifferently, either the front of a boot or the heel of the boot. It comprises a base (8), provided in order to be fastened on a snow board by means of a screw, and a bearing support (9) which surmounts the base and which is provided in order to receive the front or the heel of the boot. The bearing support (9) is mounted pivotably on the base (8) about a spindle (11) oriented in the longitudinal direction of the boot. Screw adjustment means (17) make it possible to modify and fix the angle of tilt (A) of the bearing support (9) with respect to the base (8). At least one damping unit (19) is mounted between the bearing support (9) and the base (8), the damping effect not being modified by the adjustment of tilt.
