PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for recovery of a duplex system. CONSTITUTION:The duplex CPU 1 end 2 which function as the working end stand-by systems respectively are provided with the cache memories 11 and 12 including the recovery files which hold the check point status for recovery end an inter-CPU path 13 which always transferred the latest check point status to the CPU 2 or 1 functioning as a stand-by system from the CPU 1 or 2 functioning as a working system. Then the fault if occurred in the CPU 1 or 2 functioning as a working system is reported to the CPU 2 or 1 functioning as 8 stand-by system via the path 13. Thus the CPU 2 or 1 functioning as a stand-by system reeds the latest check point status out of a cache memory 12 and then starts its work processing operation. |
