PURPOSE:To automatically adjust the color balance of yellow, magenta, and cyanogen in a color copying machine etc. CONSTITUTION:The surface potential of a photosensitive body 16 is set higher than that in forming a usual picture image when color balance is adjusted. Toner images of yellow, magenta, and cyanogen, obtained by exposing the white lower surface of a sheet metal 12 by an exposure optical system 14, are formed on the photosensitive body 16, and each toner concentration of respective toner images on an intermediate transcription body 21 is detected with an infrared ray sensor 26. Color balance is automatically adjusted by each toner concentration of yellow, magenta, and cyanogen detected with the infrared ray sensor 26 with an automatic adjustment device 51. |
