The switch incorporates two spring loaded (2) parallel strips (3) clamped as a pair with the connecting blade (4) of a melting fuse (5). The strips on both sides of the fuse are parts of a fuse holder, and are located with their free ends in U-shaped profiles (6), and can move against the hinge axis line (7) via the to and from movement of a switch strip (8). The construction uses the connecting blade (4) as fixed contact of a switch, the movable contact of which is formed by the strips (3). The other free end of the switch strip (8) works in conjunction with a fixed contact (10). This contact is connected with external connections of the construction (1) so that the fuse (5) is completely insulated from the connections carrying voltage. ADVANTAGE - Contact force may be as low as 5 kg. Allows simple installation and removal of fuse.
