PURPOSE:To provide a developing device capable of obtaining good quality picture image without fog or roughness due to developing by making constant toner supply of a fixed required quantity possible even a humidity variation in environment exists. CONSTITUTION:A difference signal of a toner quantity with a standard value is decided with a difference signal decision instrument 22 of a toner supply means control device from the detection signal of the toner quantity in a developer, detected and outputted with a detection head 21 of an ATR. A toner quantity to be supplied is determined as a shape of a supply time needed for supplying toner with a supply means under environment humidity with a supply time decision instrument 23 from the difference signal and a detection signal of environment humidity detected with a humidity sensor 25. Toner is supplied by controlling the supply means with a supply means control instrument 24 based on the toner quantity to be supplied. |
