The housing is of magnetically ineffective material with a Hall switch package (5) mounted inside it controlled by an activating element (6) and having tow permanent magnets (3, 4) of the same polarity on both sides of it. The first permanent magnet is in contact with the adjustable activating element and the second, acting as a balancing magnet, is fitted into the housing, and its position from the Hall switch package is adjustable. In the upper part (1) of the housing two chambers (8, 10) are separated by a partition. The first permanent magnet is held close to this partition (9) in the first chamber, while in the chamber the Hall switch package is fitted between the second permanent magnet and the partition so that its upper side lies against the partition and its under side is supported by a damping element (35) on the magnet. The other chamber is closed by the lower part (2) of the housing. USE/ADVANTAGE - Mechanical activating element is separated from electrical components switch, reducing hysteresis effects. Suitable for use on motor vehicles.
