PURPOSE:To prevent any short-circuit troubles and enhance the dependability of a laminated fuel cell, by providing a stage at the periphery of both the electrolyte layer and the positive active material layer, as well as at a part of the wall of a fire-path hole of a battery element, and by providing insulating rings on these stages. CONSTITUTION:The outermost side of a DEB pellet 3, which is a unified body consisting of an electrolyte layer 3' containing a lithium salt and a positive active material layer 3'' whose main component is CaCrO4, is provided with an insulating ring 11, while the innermost part of that is provided with an insulating ring 12 which is penetrated by a fire-path hole 13. Stages 24 are provided at the periphery of the DEB pellet, as well as at the electrolyte-layer side wall of the fire-path hole 13, without cutting a negative electrode CA2. The former insulating rings 11 and 12 are provided, between these stages and a negative collector plate 1, in order to avoid the outflow of CaLi2 which is produced. In some cases, the entire periphery of the DEB pellet 3 is hold between a -form ring 14, by providing a stage 25 at a part of the outermost side of the positive material layer 3''. |
