<p>A printer ink composition for a printing medium such as fabric ink ribbon, ink roll, ink absorbent, thermal transfer ink ribbon, or pressure-sensitive transfer ink ribbon, wherein a triphenylmethane dye represented by general formula (I) or a lake pigment derived therefrom is used as a colorant for preventing the formation of Michler's ketone, wherein R<1>',R<2>,R<3> and R<4> represent each independently hydrogen, alkyl, aralkyl or aryl, R<5> represents aryl, X- represents a counter ion, and ring A or B may be substituted with one or more substituents, provided that at least one group among R<1>',R<2>,R<3> and R<4> is not methyl and that when R<5> represents p-dimethylaminophenyl, at least one of R<1> and R<2> and at least one of R<3> and R<4> are not methyl. <CHEM></p> |
