PURPOSE:To obtain a fiber for many grades without variation is crimps readily, by the composite spinning of a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) polyester composition consisting of a glycol and a specific polyol in a specified proportion with a PET polyester in a specific constitution. CONSTITUTION:(A) A polyester consisting of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) essentially is subjected to the composite spinning with (B) a polyester composition obtained by adding 0.02-12pts.wt., preferably 0.2-6pts.wt., each polyol, preferably a compound of formula II, expressed by formula I (R1 and R3 are alkyl or phenyl; R2 is residue of an aliphatic or aromatic compound; n is an integer >=1) and a glycol, e.g. bis (beta-hydroxyethyl)terephthalate, to 100pts.wt. polyester consisting of PET essentially at a weight ratio between the components (A) and (B) of 2:8-8:2, preferably 4:6-6:4, to give the aimed composite fiber havig an eccentrically joined cross section. The total amount of the component (B) is 0.1-15pts.wt., preferably 1-8pts.wt. |
