PURPOSE:To correct the peak of the parabolic curve of light quantity distribution, by providing a loss part near the center of a rod lens. CONSTITUTION:At the side of incidence end 2 or emission end 3 of rod lens 1, or near the centers of flanks 4 of both ends 2 and 3, loss parts 5 are formed. As a result, the parabolic curve of the distribution of the quantity of light can be corrected into light-quantity distribution curve L2 having linear distribution part l2 at its peak. To form those loss parts 5, decreasing light transmission characteristics of a glass composite near the axis center part of lens 1, roughening the flank where loss part 5 is made, or sticking a thin film with the loss part is done. Thus, the linear distribution part can be given at the peak of the light-quantity distribution curve, so forming a lens array by the use of this lens eliminates the unevenness of the quantity of light. |
