1,051,846. Control of D.C. motors. LICENTIA PATENT - VERWALTUNGS - G.m.b.H. Sept. 5, 1963 [Sept. 5, 1962], No. 35130/63. Movement of a brake pedal 1 or other actuator of a battery-electric vehicle progressively provides regenerative braking and additional mechanical braking. The braking circuit shown comprises a battery 7, diode 8 and a rectifier valve 9, in parallel with the drive motor, which is rendered alternately conducting and non- conducting by a semi-conductor control device 4 with a pulse frequency dependent on an actual current input list and a desired braking input ISOLL from potentiometer 3. When valve 9 is conducting the inductance of the motor is charged and when the valve 9 becomes non- conducting, the energy in the inductance is discharged through diode 8 to the battery 7. |
