<p>PURPOSE:To produce PTMG at once by polymerizing 1,4-butanediol or/and water with tetrahydrofuran or polymerizing 1,4-butanediol or/and water with tetrahydrofuran and a polyoxytetramethylene glycol oligomer by using a polymerization catalyst which is inexpensive and easy to recover and recycle. CONSTITUTION:A reaction is performed in the presence of a dehydrated montmorillonite ore. By using a montmorillonite ore which is inexpensive and easy to recover and recycle as a polymerization catalyst, it is possible to produce polyoxytetramethylene glycol in high yields at high efficiency.</p> |
