In a battery powered sealed electrical device eg. a body washer, or massager (Fig 11 not shown) incorporating a battery pack including a rechargeable battery for energizing the device detachably received within a battery compartment 11 of a casing 10, a cap 60 is detachable to the end of the casing in sealing engagement therewith for closing the battery compartment, the cap being formed with a partition 63 which divides the interior of the cap into an inner chamber in open communication with the battery compartment and an outer chamber separated from the battery compartment by said partition and open to the atmosphere only through 62 vent hole(s) formed in the cap, the partition being provided with at least one gas-relief valve 70. The relief valve(s) normally seal the inner chamber from the outer chamber and allow an explosive gas generated from the battery pack and expanding in the battery compartment to escape into the outer chamber and then through the vent hole into the outside air, thereby avoiding unusual pressure increase within the device leading to the damage of the device. <IMAGE> |
