PURPOSE:To obtain excellent magnetic and mechanical characteristics, by constituting a magnet of alloy which contains martensite transformation phase, as a constitution phase. CONSTITUTION:Martensite transformation phase is contained. In this case, it is desirable for crystal grains constituting the martensite transformation to be anisotropically arranged. It is desirable for the alloy to contain at least one kind out of Fe, Co, Ni and Mn as the constituent element. Martensite is a metastable structure formed by non-diffusive transformation at a temperature lower than or equal to a specified value, when metal or alloy is quenched from a temperature higher than or equal to the transformation point. For example, in the case of Fe based alloy, a transformation phase formed by quench hardening from a solid solution state austenitic phase at a high temperature is designated. Thereby excellent magnetic and mechanical characteristics can be obtained. |
