PURPOSE:To provide a method for industrially producing an ether compound by reacting a lower alcohol with hydrocarbon compounds consisting mainly of an unsaturated hydrocarbon compound, a process for purifying the react liquid being energy-saved and simplified. CONSTITUTION:A method for producing an ether compound, comprising reacting a lower alcohol with hydrocarbon compounds consisting mainly of an unsaturated hydrocarbon compound, removing the unreacted lower alcohol from the react liquid by a pervaporization method using a specific asymmetrical separation membrane and subsequently distillation-purifying the produced ether compound (e.g. methyl t-butyl ether). |
