PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for image retrieval by transferring a medical image from a host to a terminal in advance based on daily information or reservation information. CONSTITUTION:A host computer 2 executes the total management of medical images by a host image data base 23 and executes the queue management of the identifiers of images to be transferred in advance corresponding to image display terminals by a queue list file 24. To the queue list file, the queuing of the identifier of the image to be the object of reserved transfer is executed based on the reservation information registered on a reservation file 25. On the other hand, queuing is executed also to the identifiers of images inputted from image input terminals 3A-3M on that day successively as the object of beforehand transfer. Image display terminals 1A-1N automatically transmit beforehand transfer request signals to the host computer at periodical time intervals and when there are images as the objects of transfer in the queue list file, the host computer extracts them from a host image data base 23 and transfers them to the image display terminals. |
