<p>Pick-up devices (60) of rotating conveyors, in particular drawing- in fingers of a screw conveyor of a harvesting apparatus, which have an inner part (104) held on a support (38) inside a housing of the conveyor and an outer part (106) extending outside the housing for conveying purposes, are subject to the risk of breaking when encountering foreign bodies with the result that the outer part (106) falls out and is carried along by the product to be conveyed, which can cause considerable damage to a machine further processing the product. To avoid damage of this type, it is proposed to connect the outer part (106) to the support (38) via a holder (116) so that, in the case of a fracture, the pick-up device (60) or its outer part (106) does not fall into the conveyed product, but is at least retained and, as far as possible, is retracted into the housing of the conveyor. Pick-up devices (52) of this type are found, in particular, in harvesting apparatuses of harvesting machines, such as combine harvesters and crop choppers. <IMAGE></p> |
