<p>PURPOSE:To simultaneously monitor an optical output and externally emit a light even by a light emitting chip for emitting an entire light from one light emitting surface of an optical semiconductor element which places the chip and a light receiving chip on a placing member and externally emits a light while monitoring the emitted light by the receiving chip, and to easily monitor the optical output by increasing the quantity of the light incident to the receiving chip. CONSTITUTION:An oblique surface 16b formed obliquely to a light emitting direction of an element and a flat surface 15a formed in a flat surface crossing the surface 16b substantially perpendicularly to the emitting direction are provided on a placing member 13, a light emitting chip 1 is mounted on the surface 15a in a state that the surface 1a is directed toward the surface 16b, while a light receiving chip 2 is mounted on the surface 16b.</p> |
