PURPOSE: To attain the batch processing of thin film magnetic head production and the exact automatic matching of a magnetic pole without damaging the merit of complete matching with a narrow track. CONSTITUTION: The magnetic head is mainly provided with two magnetic material layers 5 and 7 set on the same face and separated by a non-magnetic material gap layer. This gap layer forms a scheduled angle to the faces of these magnetic material layers. Concerning the production of such a magnetic head, this angle can be exactly determined. This invention can be applied to a magnetic write/read head for a computer peripheral device (such as a tape or a disk) and a head for video tape recorder. |
