<p>PURPOSE:To offer a motor driving device which decelerates the rotation of a rotary cylinder quickly and smoothly as the motor driving device which drives the rotary cylinder used in a magnetic recording and reproducing device. CONSTITUTION:A mechanical braking means consisting of a motor part 3 which drives the rotary cylinder 1, a solenoid 4, and a presser butt 5 is provided, and the rotation of the rotary cylinder 1 can be decelerated quickly and smoothly by pressing the presser butt 5 on a presser butt contact part 6 provided at the peripheral part of the rotary cylinder 1 by driving the solenoid 4 when the rotation of the rotary cylinder 1 is decelerated.</p> |
