PURPOSE:To thin and miniaturize a recording head while stabilizing printing quality, and to facilitate handling and maintenance. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of ink nozzles 22 constituting a Kayser type on- demand type recording head are juxtaposed onto the same substrate 17. An ink flow path is washed by alkali as required, and water-repellent films are formed to ink discharge openings, thus varying and adjusting the wettability of ink. A heater is installed for heating at the time of an atmosphere at a low temperature for keeping the viscosity of ink at a fixed value or less at all times. A recording head body and an ink tank are unified and changed into a cartridge while a cap covering the ink discharge openings is added. |
