PURPOSE:To provide the title apparatus not limited in its measuring space by the arrangement of a sound source and sound source sensors and not requir ing the arrangement of the sound source sensors over a wide range. CONSTITUTION:A transmitter-receiver array 7 consisting of transmitter-receivers 7a-7b capable of transmitting and receiving a sonic wave is provided in a movable manner. This transmitter-receiver array 7 is driven by two different frequency signals outputted from an oscillator 1 and the respective transmitter- receivers 7a-7n are changed over by switches 5, 6 to be operated and the scattering sonic waves from an object to be measured to the sonic waves transmitted from the transmitter-receivers are received by the same transmitter-receivers. The distribution data of the amplitudes and phases of the scattering sonic waves received by the transmitter-receivers 7a-7b is extracted and the density distribution and volume modulus distribution of a space to be measured are calculated by the Fourier transform and inverse Fourier transform of a three-dimensional space. |
