PURPOSE: To provide a method and device without causing irregularity in a display signal even by using the compensating circuit of an insertion filter equipped with a low pass filter. CONSTITUTION: An input terminal A, B and output terminal of a low pass filter C are connected with different input terminals D and G of a selecting device E. The input terminal and output terminal of this filter are also connected with different input terminals K and I of a comparator J, and this comparator compares the amplitude of the both inputs, and generates an output indicating a signal having the lower amplitude. The output of this comparator is supplied to a control input terminal E of the selecting device E, and the signal having the lower amplitude is transferred to an output terminal F.
