PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a contradiction between data stored in a disk file at the restarting time of a system when a system down occurs while the file is updated. CONSTITUTION:An information processing section 1 writes file updating data in a disk device 4 in a FIFO cue 3. A file size changing section 12 outputs file size changing data to the disk device 4 based on the kind of operation discriminated by a discriminating section 11. The size of a file is changed on the basis of data amount information 10. An operation code changing section 13 changes the operation code of the FIFO cue 3 by outputting an operation code changing signal to the cue 3 in response to the output signal of the discriminating section 11. A readout section 14 outputs a shift-out signal on the basis of the output signals of the code changing section 13 and the changing section 12. The file of the disk device 4 is updated by the data read out from the cue 3 in response to the shift-out signal.
