<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the liquid crystal display device having a high density, high contrast and high quality at a low cost by eliminating the need for incorporation of a temp. compensating circuit into a driving circuit system. CONSTITUTION:Since the I-V characteristic of activation energy has a nonlinear characteristic, Arrhenius plotting (Ivt1/T plotting) is executed by taking the dependency of the current value of an active element 5 on temp. at the time of impression of respective voltages and the activation energy is determined from the inclination thereof. This activation energy is determined as the activation energy at the time of the impression of the respective voltages. The activation energy at the time of the driving voltage of the active elements of the active matrix type liquid crystal display device which is constituted by crimping a liquid crystal material between a pair of transparent substrates 1 and connecting at least one active elements 5 to each of plural pieces of picture element electrodes 4 provided on at least one substrate 1 is, thereupon, confined to <=0.12eV and the driving circuit system is so formed as not to have the temp. compensating circuit.</p> |
