PURPOSE:To prevent a circuit component, fitted to the wiring board of the optical box of the scanning optical device, from deteriorating and a housing from deforming by radiating heat, generated by the circuit component, to the outside. CONSTITUTION:The scanning optical device is put in the optical box 4, which is fixed and arranged on a support plate 2 fitted to the base of a laser beam printer. Further, the wiring board 32 fitted with the circuit component 31 is provided on the reverse surface of the bottom part of the optical box 4. Cuts 34 are formed at >=2 places of the optical box 4 so that the storage space 33 at the bottom part is linked with the outside. Consequently, air can be admitted and discharged to radiate the heat generated by the circuit component 31, fitted to the wiring board 32, to the outside. |
