PURPOSE:To speedily find a destination by selecting the map of an area corresponding to an area code with a map selecting means and displaying it, and then inputting the telephone number of the destination to be visited by a driver and displaying the map on a screen. CONSTITUTION:The on-vehicle navigation device equipped with a road map data storage means A, a vehicle position detecting means B, and a display control means C is provided with a number input means D for inputting the number of the map to be displayed and the map selecting means E which selects and supplies map data corresponding to the number inputted by the number input means D to the display control means C. The number is the area of a trunk exchange number corresponding to the map. Therefore, the map of the area corresponding to the trunk exchange number inputted by the number input means D can be selected by the map selecting means E and displayed. |
