A linear guide system includes at least one bar (13) fixed in a bar retainer (11) having a contact surface with an essentially C-shaped cross-section, and a runner (14) with at least one roller (15) cooperating with said bar (13) and guided thereon. The bar (13) is firmly secured in the retainer (11) without screws or other fasteners by giving a part (12a) of the contact surface cooperating with the bar (13) a radius of curvature (b) which is different from or has its centre offset with respect to that (a) of the bar, whereby the bar is rigidly held in the retainer. |
