PURPOSE: To press a preceding unit against a stacking zone when a next successive unit is to enter the stacking zone, by providing a belt means, a storage means, a plurality of rotary pressing means and a phase means for simultaneously operating the pressing means on a frame. CONSTITUTION: When a napkin is driven, exceeding cams 25, 28, its static radius becomes a height of the napkin on a drive belt. Once the leading end of the napkin comes to a point at the downstream end of a storage box, the heights of the cams 25, 28, 31 are equally and gradually increased, and accordingly, the napkin is pressed downward from the drive belt into the storage box. That is, it is substantially 1.5 times as large as a rotating part of the cam in the space between a certain napkin and a next napkin. When the next napkin approaches, the cams are again positioned at zero degree angle. The preceding napkin is pressed by projecting points of the cams 28, 31. These cycles are repeated.
