PURPOSE:To obtain the printer which can store a great deal of registration data with small memory capacity. CONSTITUTION:When a registration start instruction is received from a host computer H, registration data which are received successively are stored in a registration area 42. Once an end instruction for the registration data is received, the registration data stored in the registration area 42 are compressed. When a read start instruction for the registration data is received, the compressed registration data are read out of the registration area 42 and restored and a printing process is performed. |
