PURPOSE:To provide a soft medical prosthesis material for artificial blood vessel or artificial trachea which has internal cavity holding force and airtightness just after internal transplantation to eliminate cares of blood leak and bacterial infection, and is integrated with and adhered to a biological tissue after the lapse of time from the internal transplantation, an prevents a granulation tissue from entering the hollow inner par of a tubular body so that the flow of blood or air is never prevented. CONSTITUTION:In a medical prosthesis material consisting of a knitted fabric or non woven fabric formed from a biologically absorptive polymer yarn and a biologically non-absorptive polymer yarn, the biologically non-absorptive polymer yarn is a polyolefin fiber. Just after the internal transplantation, the material has airtightness and liquid-tightness because it consists of the biologically absorptive polymer yarn and the biologically non-absorptive polymer yarn, the biologically absorptive polymer yarn is thereafter decomposed in the living body, a granulation tissue bites into the bridle of the biologically non-absorptive polymer yarn and forms a biological tissue while filling the decomposed and absorbed yarn part. |
