PURPOSE:To eliminate slack of paper without forcing a user to process with complicated operations of a key board. CONSTITUTION:A cover 50 is to be closed before it is used generally. A switch 51 is arranged at a position where the switch is turned on at closing of the cover 50. When the switch 51 is turned on, transfer of driving between a drive shaft of a downstream pin tractor 12 and a platen shaft is cut off by using a one-way clutch 22a. In this state, a paper feed motor 37 is rotated reversely. Then, although the downstream pin tractor 12 does not rotate, the platen 2 rotates in the direction of returning a continuous paper P, so that a tension is given to the paper between the platen 2 and the downstream pin tractor 12. That is, a proper tension will be given to the continuous paper P automatically by only the closing operation of the cover 50 without any other operation. |
