PURPOSE: To radiate light which has color temperature of 5200-6400K and to prevent color temperature from decreasing over entire average life. CONSTITUTION: A discharge tube 15 in metal halide high pressure electric discharge lamp 14 is filled with mercury, at least one kind of noble gas, cesium and dysprosium halide, especially nickel halide, and, if necessary, gadolinium halide. It is advantage that the tube contains dysprosium of 0.003-3mg per cm<3> , nickel of 0.002-0.5mg, and, if necessary, gadolinium of 0.002-0.1mg. Halogen contained in halide compounds includes iodine and bromine with mole ratio of 0.2-1.5. |
