PURPOSE:To obtain plain-type ink jet recording paper having a sufficient ink absorptivity suitable for a multi-color recording, a remarkably reduced strike through, little change with time in ink absorptivity, and superior productivity. CONSTITUTION:This sheet is produced by providing a coating layer at least made of a pigment, a binder, and two or more types of sizing agents on a surface of base paper containing a cationic polymer sizing agent on the opposite side to a recording surface. One of the sizing agents is composed of one or more of alkylketene dimer, alkenyl succinic anhydride, and a wax emulsion sizing agent. The other sizing agent is a cationic polymer sizing agent. In this manner, a superior resistance to ink strike through is obtained, and a change with time in ink absorptivity is prevented. |
