FUEL ELECTRODE ACTIVATION FOR METHANOLE FUEL BATTERY

摘要

PURPOSE:To eliminate oxygen or carbon monoxide by directly generating a hydrogen gas or an oxigen gas in a fuel electrode with simple constitution for removing oxygen or carbon monoxide adsorbed in the fuel electrode. CONSTITUTION:Adsorbed oxygen is eliminated with a hydrogen gas generated in a fuel electrode 4 by electrolyzing water in an electrolyte 5 by an outer power source with the fuel electrode 4 as a cathode. Also carbon monoxide is removed by generating an oxygen gas in the fuel electrode 4 with the fuel electrode 4 as an anode and similarly electrolysis is made.
