PURPOSE: To manufacture an optical active separating material for a thin-layer chromatography adapted to the separation of a racemic mixture. CONSTITUTION: The separating material for a thin-layer chromatography using a support coated with adsorber comprises optical active poly(meth)acrylamide bonded to silica gel with adsorber so that the bonding agent is made of a mixture of carboxyl-containing polyvinylpolymer and acrylate polymer. The gel is reacted with optical active (meth) acrylamide derivative under the condition of polymerization reaction, the composite material is suspended together with the agent made of the mixture of the polyvinylpolymer and the acrylate polymer in medium, the suspension liquid is adjusted to pH of 6.5 to 8.0, and then applied to the support. |
