PURPOSE:To show reference voltage over a long period of time without any damage in the environment of radiation, high temperature and high pressure in a nuclear reactor. CONSTITUTION:A reactor reference electrode 10 has a reaction electrode part 11 allowed mercury to adhere to the edge thereof, the reaction electrode part 11 is housed in standard liquid containing pure water 12 and chlorine ion and the standard liquid 12 is housed in a sapphire or alumina-made isolation vessel 13. One or a few liquid junction parts 14 are provided in the isolation vessel 13. A conductive rod 15 is electrically connected to the reaction electrode part 11. The conductive rod 15 has an outer cylinder 16 composed of material strong in a reactor environment. The lower end part of the outer cylinder 16 is connected to a ceramic-made airtight terminal 18 through an intermediate material 17. An MI cable conductor 19 for conducting reference voltage generated in the reaction electrode part 1 to an outside reactor core is connected to the conductive rod 15 through connection foil 20. An MI cable sheath 21 surrounding the outside of the MI cable conductor 19 through an insulating material 22 is airtightly welded with the outer cylinder 16. |
