<p>PURPOSE:To reconstitute an image by the least memory constitution by detecting a phase difference between a divided state discriminating signal and a reproduced reference frame signal and correcting a tracking delay value. CONSTITUTION:Tracking is controlled so that a phase difference between a control (CTL) pulse reproduced from a tape and an output from a delay circuit 12 becomes zero. Namely tracking adjustment for maximizing the RF levels of heads 1, 2 is determined by the delay time of the delay circuit 12 controlled by an optimum tracking detecting circuit 9. When the phase of the reproduced CTL pulse is changed from that of a reproduced reference frame signal by controlling the delay circuit 12, the circuit 9 observes changes in reproduced output levels to be the outputs of RF level detectors 5, 6 and sets up the delay time of the circuit 12 maximizing the change in the delay circuit 12 as an optimum tracking delay time.</p> |
