PURPOSE:To immediately recognize in which position a slice is and from which direction it is looked at in an obtained tomographic image, by displaying graphically the slice position/angle and visual field direction of the tomographic image, by a suitable symbol mark, etc., on an image such as a sagittal image, etc. CONSTITUTION:A host computer outputs not only a slice image 52 but also data of the slice position/angle/visual field direction to a console. In this case, in a screen 51 on which the slice image 52 is displayed, a small window 53 is displayed, and sagittal image 54, a line 55 and an arrow 56 are displayed therein. This line 55 is a symbol for showing a slice, and its position and angle correspond to the set slice position and angle, and the arrow 56 is a symbol for showing the visual field direction and corresponds to the set visual field direction. In such a way, in which position the slice is with regard to the slice image 52 displayed on the screen 51, and from which direction it is looked at can be recognized intuitively and immediately. |
