METHOD OF SELECTIVELY DOWN-LOADING INFORMATION

PURPOSE: To make it possible to execute remote communication with an exclusive system and to down load important diagnostic information peculiar to a specific machine position to the position. CONSTITUTION: A machine 137 is mutually connected to a remote exclusive system 157 by a communication channel 182 and service data are selectively transmitted from the system 157 to the machine 137. The operation includes the monitoring of the performance of the specific machine 137 by the system 157 and the check of a deviation from the standard performance of the machine 137. The system 157 generates a machine change in response to the deviation of the machine 137 from the standard performance. Then the machine 137 is identified by a specific address and service data are transmitted to the specific machine 137 through the channel 175. The machine 137 checks the address of the data and stores the transmitted service data in a memory 212 in order to print out the data by the machine 137 itself.
