PURPOSE:To provide the manufacturing method of hollow side moldings, which are installed on both sides of an automobile and can be easily molded under the state having excellent external appearance. CONSTITUTION:A cavity corresponding to the shape of the hollow side molding 1 concerned is formed by a fixed mold and a movable mold. By injecting non- rigid polyvinyl chloride resin, which forms an outer layer 11, and then water soluble polyvinyl alcohol, which forms an inner layer, by means of sandwich molding method, a molded article having sandwich structure is molded. Next, by dissolving the polyvinyl alcohol, which forms the inner layer, in water, a hollow side molding 1 excellent in external appearance is manufactured. |
