PURPOSE:To obtain the title compd. with a high mol.wt. in a short time and with a high yield by reacting a specified arom. dihalide with an alkali sulfide in the presence of a quinone. CONSTITUTION:An arom. dihalide of the formula (wherein R1 to R4 are each a 1-12C alkyl, an arom. group, an alicyclic group or H; X is a halogen) is allowed so react with an alkali sulfide (e.g. sodium sulfide) in the presence of a quinone (e.g. 1,4-benzoquinone). |
