PURPOSE:To step up a battery voltage by using a converter and a reactor and to shorten a rescue time for a passenger by disconnecting the reactor from an AC power source at the time of a power source interruption and connecting it to the battery. CONSTITUTION:At the time of an emergency such as a power source interruption, etc., a main circuit contactor 9 is opened, an AC power source 1 is disconnected from a switch 10, and a battery 7 is connected to a reactor 8. The reactor 8 and a converter 2 are operated as a boosting chopper by using two of three phases to step up the voltage of the battery 17 to a predetermined value. The step-up voltage is smoothed by a capacitor 3, and converted to an AC by an inverter 4. A rescue operation for a passenger is conducted by the output torque of an induction motor 5 to which the AC is supplied. |
