PURPOSE:To reduce vibration and noise generated from an upper shaft of a fan motor by a method wherein the fan motor is fixed to a fixing plate, dis posed at a top plate of a base frame and an outer circumference of the upper shaft of the fan motor is provided with a concave sound absorbing cap. CONSTITUTION:A fan motor 6 for driving a fan 7 has integrally fixed a fixing plate 8 therein. A vibration-proof rubber 9 is held at a fixing plate 8 and fixed to a top plate 4a of the base frame with a small screw 10. An outer circumference of an upper shaft 11 of the fan motor 6 is provided with a concave sound absorbing cap 12. A fan 7 is rotated under a driving operation of the fan motor 6 and than air is blown into a room. Sound generated at a lace of a bearing installed at the upper shaft 11 is reflected back against the top plate 4a to generate abnormal vibration and noise. However, the upper shaft 11 is provided with the concave sound absorbing cap 12, thereby the sound of race of the bearing is absorbed and then a resonance sound can be prevented from being produced. |
