The handle (1) of the brush (3) is a cylindrical housing (4) which contains an electric motor (14, 13) the rotor of which is mounted on a hollow shaft (2). The shaft has uper (17) and lower (16) bearings. The motor is energised from ring-shaped batteries (15) when the switch (5) on the side of the housing is operated. A plastics material reservoir (21) full of cleaning fluid is connected to the top of the hollow shaft. When the lower end of the brush is pressed against the pan, fluid flows down the shaft and out of apertures (8) between the bristles.
