PURPOSE:To provide a sheet coating method wherein various stripe like flaws generated on the surface of a coating layer are improved. CONSTITUTION:In a method for coating a sheet (4) with a coating solution 9 from a roll (6), the amount of the coating solution collected in the wedge- shaped nip between the roll and the sheet coming into contact with the roll is detected by a sensor (12) and the rotational speed of the roll is increased or decreased on the basis of the detection result to control the amount of the coating solution collected in the nip.
